Paris Cybercrime Unit Investigates Musk’s X

(MENAFN) The cybercrime division of the Paris prosecutor’s office revealed on Tuesday that they initiated a search at the French facilities of US tech magnate Elon Musk's social media platform X, as part of a continuing investigation.

According to statements posted on social media by the prosecutor’s office, the operation involved the cybercrime unit working alongside Europol and the French police’s cybercrime division to carry out the search at the company’s French offices.

This action is linked to a probe that was launched in January 2025 concerning the "platform's algorithmic operation."

Elon Musk and X's former CEO, Linda Yaccarino, have been called in for "voluntary hearings" on April 20 by the Paris Prosecutor's Office, reported by a broadcaster.

The prosecutor’s office also noted that they are leaving X and might continue correspondence through LinkedIn or Instagram.
